Jordan-Gray-A Q&A

Not only has she been voted as one of the 50 funniest comedians of the 21st century in The Telegraph, but she’s been all over our TV screens over the last 12 months. And now, Jordan Gray is bringing her ‘Is It A Bird?’ show to City Varieties Music Hall in Leeds on September 24th.

Ahead of her show, we asked for her Famous Last Words…

Last thing you did that made you feel good?
A jacket potato in the bath. Cheese, beans, butter. I like to prop my phone up on the toilet so I can watch people play Minecraft on YouTube for hours.*
*Unless you’re one of the studios waiting for me to turn in a script, in which case everything I just said is a lie.

Last thing you’d want to be doing right now?
Reliving the moment I innocently took a grape from the backstage bowl at Latitude Festival and a wasp tried to bum my finger.

Last night on Earth… What’s your poison?
I’m 12 years sober so I reckon I’d stay sober to watch the world burn. Nice to go out feeling a twinge of superiority.

Last supper… What are you ordering?
Hot bread. Always hot bread. Butter (salted, obviously, I’m not a psychopath). But hot bread is the only thing that can take your mind off death.

Last person you’d want to share a drink with?
The monkey from Outbreak.

Jordan-Gray-A Q&A

Last time you shed a tear and why?
Watching Guardians Of The Galaxy 3. No spoilers but WOAH.

Last refuge… where would you go?
My brother’s house. He’s fully prepped for the zombie apocalypse that he *pretends* he doesn’t want to happen. But when sh*t goes down, he’s gonna be the man to get behind.

Last the course… tips on loot, love & life?
It’s never about the dishes. Whatever you THINK you are arguing about, it’s probably about something else.

Last but one… random question: Tell us about something that interests you that nobody else knows about. Like Gaelic football… or porcelain.
I’m super into fractal geometry and lacunarity across space. I’m convinced if you zoom out far enough, you’d see a repeating pattern in the stars.

Your Famous Last Words?
“You’re gonna have to kill me.”

Jordan Gray will bring her acclaimed hit show ‘Is It A Bird?’ to Leeds on Sunday, 24 September 2023.
