The White Rose Academies Trust Celebrates Best Ever Results
The White Rose Academies Trust invited their Year 11 students into each secondary academy to collect their GCSE results. It was a wonderful opportunity for staff and students to come together
to celebrate their achievements.
Throughout the 2021-22 academic year, the Trust has seen significant improvements across all three of its secondary academies, leading to a collection of some of the best results ever
achieved in terms of attainment.
The whole staff body are proud of the Year 11 students and have congratulated each of them for all that they have achieved during their time as part of the White Rose Academies Trust.
Mr Whitaker, CEO, White Rose Academies Trust, said: “Yesterday was one of those special and joyous days across our secondary academies.
“As this cohort of students have experienced the most challenging three years of secondary education since the end of World War Two, this makes their achievements so much more remarkable and worthy of praise. These results are yet another testament to the remarkable professionals who we employ across the Trust.
“Therefore, on behalf of the Board of the White Rose Academies Trust, I would like to express our sincere congratulations to our wonderful students, their families and our dedicated professionals. Always remember, Once White Rose, Always White Rose!”
“Incredibly proud”
Ms Carrie, Executive Principal, White Rose Academies Trust, commented: “We are absolutely delighted with the results across the Trust this academic year. We have seen significant improvements across all three of our secondary academies, securing some of the best results ever achieved in terms of attainment.
“This is absolute testament to the hard work and dedication of our incredible students and staff who, despite the significant disruption caused to education by the pandemic, have worked tirelessly to support each other to achieve success.
“We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students and the results they have achieved this academic year in the face of such adversity. We wish them the best of luck as they now confidently progress to the next stage of their education and we look forward to hearing about their future successes.”
Mr Chattoe, Principal, Leeds City Academy, stated: “This set of results represents an enormous achievement by the students and staff body at Leeds City Academy. The last two years have been extremely turbulent, with significant & prolonged absence for periods of time but through this time and across their final school year in particular, our Year 11 students have worked extremely hard and displayed a combination of amazing resilience and high aspiration to secure a wonderful set of examination results.
“We are so very proud of the achievements of our students and delighted they have secured entry onto level 3 courses, apprenticeships & employment. This set of results clearly demonstrates the continued transformation and improvement taking place at Leeds City Academy and we are all very proud.”
Mr Bullock, Principal, Leeds East Academy, added: “Congratulations to our amazing Year 11 students on their achievements. As a year group, you have shown such resilience and perseverance in the face of extraordinary challenges and uncertainties throughout your Key Stage 4 journey. We are very proud of you all, well done and the very best of luck on the next step in your journey.”
Mr Whieldon, Principal, Leeds West Academy, told us: “We are delighted at Leeds West Academy as our students celebrate achieving the best attainment results in our history. Once again and despite the challenges of the last few years and the pandemic, we have demonstrated that students who are lucky enough to attend Leeds West Academy receive the very best education. These results are achieved through a real team effort as staff, students and parents have come together as a strong hardworking community passionate about transforming the lives of our young people of whom we are so incredibly proud.”
