Esports Gaming Growth Is Redirecting Product Investment

For all the games filling tournament calendars, most esports betting money still lands in remarkably few places. Across the Kambi network in 2025, Counter-Strike accounted for 57% of esports betting handle, while League of Legends added another 27.3%. Together, the two titles made up roughly 84% of the recorded total. The dataset covers more than 50 operators in regulated markets, so it does not represent every esports wager worldwide, but it does show how concentrated the category can be. Access through bızbet represents only the visible end of the esports betting chain, while much of the spending happens earlier, across data feeds, event coverage and live-market infrastructure.

That concentration matters commercially. Supporting an esports title means maintaining reliable feeds, odds and live coverage, and the largest games naturally attract more of that investment. The Business Research Company valued the market at $12.59 billion for 2025 and estimates $14.17 billion for 2026, a projected increase of 12.5%.

Counter-Strike Takes More Than Half

Counter-Strike’s 57% share is striking partly because the rest of the market drops away so quickly.

League of Legends remains a substantial second category. Dota 2 finished 2025 with 7.7% of handle in the same dataset, down from 10.5% a year earlier. Valorant stayed at around 4%.

Those shifts can matter to the companies supplying betting products. A title with a reliable competitive calendar can support regular event coverage. If its betting activity falls, maintaining the same depth of markets becomes a different commercial calculation.

This is also why esports does not behave like one uniform betting category. Counter-Strike can have a strong year while another established title loses share. A new tournament may attract attention without producing much betting volume. The game itself, the schedule and the available market coverage all matter.

The Investment Is Often Invisible

A football bettor sees a fixture and a set of prices. Esports can require another layer of detail.

Counter-Strike matches unfold round by round. League of Legends produces objectives, maps and player-level events. Live betting around those matches depends on information arriving quickly enough to keep a market usable while the game is still moving.

That means some of the important spending in esports betting is not particularly visible from the outside. It goes into data feeds, trading tools, event coverage and the systems that turn what happens inside a game into a live betting product.

Mobile access comes at the other end of that chain. A tool like bizbet ios provides one example of access from a mobile device, but the market visible on a screen depends on infrastructure built before it reaches that point.

The distinction becomes especially relevant as live betting expands. More possible markets do not simply appear because a game contains more measurable events. Those events have to be captured and processed consistently enough to support them.

Growth Is Not Spread Evenly

The headline market estimate suggests expansion. The game-level numbers tell a less even story.

Counter-Strike and League of Legends dominate. Dota 2 has lost share. Valorant remains much smaller despite its established competitive scene. The result is a market growing in overall value while product attention remains clustered around a narrow group of games.

That creates a particular pattern of investment inside the sector. Money goes not only toward adding esports to a betting menu, but toward deciding which competitions justify deeper coverage and which data streams can support live markets at scale.

There is no need to treat every game alike for esports betting to keep expanding. The 2025 numbers suggest the opposite has been happening: a larger category is forming around a surprisingly concentrated core.
