Blistering Raps, Huge Choruses…
What’s the title of your latest release, and what does it mean to you?
‘Enemy’ Act 2 is our latest release. This song is really special to me, as the video marked my first appearance since joining the band.
What was the hardest part about putting this release together, and why?
Honestly, just keeping it under wraps was the hardest part. We all love the song, but Tony (who shot the video) and Stix (who created and directed it) did such an incredible job that we just wanted to show it off!
Who produced the release – what did they bring to it? If you produced it yourselves what do you enjoy most about producing your own material?
It was produced by Omni and mixed and mastered by Max. Having a producer is such a useful tool—it allows someone from the outside to bring a fresh perspective to the music and keep things evolving.
What do you want the listener to take away from listening to your music?
A sense of escapism. It’s three minutes where you can lose yourself in the music and visuals, connecting with lyrics that touch on important topics.
How does a track normally come together? Can you tell us something about the process?
Since I joined the band, we’ve either jammed ideas in a rehearsal space or I’ve written ideas in my studio and brought them to the guys, who then add their own “seasoning” to it. Writing has been really fun and effortless so far!
What band/artists have influenced you the most since you started this project, and why?
Collectively, we’d say Linkin Park and Rage Against the Machine. Both are absolute icons—we connect with their huge choruses and crazy rap sections, and we hope our take on that sound resonates with people.
What countries would you like to tour? Are there any standout venues you’d like to play in?
Touring the States or Europe would be amazing! Brixton would be a dream venue, but realistically, the Underworld in Camden is a great goal to work towards.
If you could pick one track for our readers to listen to in order to get a taste of your music, what would you pick, and why?
That’s tough, so I’m breaking the rules and picking two! ‘Peony’ and ‘Enemy’—they’re the first two acts of what’s shaping up to be an epic storyline.
What ambitions do you have for the band/your career?
We want to be the biggest band in the world! All four of us have the same hunger to strive for greatness—whether that’s mastering our instruments or selling out massive venues. We want it all!
Finally, as you leave the stage, what are your parting words?
“Wow, I need to sit down—I am so unfit.” In all seriousness, just a massive thank you to everyone who came to see us. We are so grateful!
