Design of the Huawei watch GT 2 smart watch
Huawei Watches GT 2 is available in two sorts of sizes: one is 42mm and the other one is 46mm. Surprisingly, the design for the two variations differs little. The smaller variant has a basic shell and resembles the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active, whilst the larger variant like the Huawei watch GT 2 46mm smart watch features marks around the bezel that give it a sportier appearance. For this review, let’s look into the 46mm variation.
On the right side of the Huawei Watch GT 2, there are two buttons. These are very protruding, yet they are easy to press and provide nice tactile sensation. The upper button returns to the UI, whilst the lower one can be set to any feature on the smartwatch. The speaker grille is located between these two buttons and is difficult to locate.
Huawei used 22mm wide straps for the Watch GT 2. These are user-replaceable, and you can use any standard 22mm strap. The base option includes a black Fluoroelastomer strap that is comfortable to wear. There is no pixelation, and the smartwatch includes auto-brightness, which allows it to adapt to changing lighting situations.
The heart rate sensor and charging mechanism are located on the device’s back. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2, the Watch GT 2 does not enable wireless charging. Instead, a magnetic dock with pogo pins is used. The charger’s magnets assist it in securely latching onto the Huawei watch GT 2 46mm smart watch. Huawei’s charger uses a USB Type-C connection, so if you have a smartphone with a Type-C port, you’ll only need one cord.
