Which fitness trends you should follow in 2024

The idea of having to focus on fitness trends right now can be a lot to take in. Nobody wants to consider fitness trends while they’re still going through the cheese board and getting through the Quality Street tin with their family.

As January rolls in, that’s when the fitness trends will start to come into play, and the Nike discount codes start rolling in. And before you get to that point, you need to think about which fitness trends you’d like to indulge in. You deserve the very best when it comes to your health and well-being. Therefore, these are the fitness trends you should be looking to follow in 2024.

Virtual Reality workouts.

We have virtual reality gaming, so why not Virtual reality Workouts? Technology is advancing, and in quite a terrifying way, because VR Workouts mean you can bring the workout you want at the gym to your home. In fact, you can even wear the VR headsets just to be able to have the novelty of fun while you get fit. Strapping on a headset and being transported to a peaceful yoga studio or even a mountain trail for a hike can give you everything you need. It’s an immersive experience, much like a workout usually is, and it makes it easier for you to stick to your fitness goals, especially if one of your goals is to go running but it’s raining outside.

Micro HIIT sessions.

High-Intensity Interval Training is one trend that hasn’t gone anywhere in the past couple of years. It’s been popular for its efficiency, but it’s becoming streamlined with micro HIIT sessions this year. These are shorter and more intense bursts of exercise that only last a minute. This means you can fit these exercise routines into your life even if you’re busy. Unfortunately for you, this does mean you can’t use being busy as an excuse to stop exercising.

Movement and mindfulness.

This trend is about blending the physical exercise you hate to do with the mental well-being practice you need to do. Think yoga with Pilates and mindful meditation. At the same time, those focused breathing techniques will come in handy, and the holistic approach to exercise means that while you’re working up a sweat, you can calm your mind.

Functional fitness.

This is a trend that has already been growing, and it’s going to continue to do so in 2024. This one emphasises exercises to prepare your body for daily tasks and natural movement. This is so much more than moving: it’s about enhancing your daily activities. You can expect personal trainers to focus more on movement that improves your balance and flexibility more than it can your strength for everyday jobs, not just weightlifting.

Boxing clubs.

Boxing has taken fitness by storm for a few years, but boutique boxing is a whole new thing. These are clubs that offer a much more upscale and intimate experience compared to traditional boxing gyms, and there are specialised programs that cater to all fitness levels no matter who you are, relieving your stress and improving your coordination by joining a boutique boxing club.

Performance boosters.

These have been around for many years, but in 2024, we’re looking towards plant-based boosters as we are becoming far more conscious of our health as well as the health of the planet. We are looking into plant-based diets and plant-based supplementation more and more. This is a focus of performance enhancers that are all based on plants and not proteins that come from animals.

Outdoor retreats.

You might have seen those outdoor yoga retreats or meditation stations, and these are becoming more popular. Outdoor adventurer treats are an entirely other thing, and they are sought-after fitness trends for 2024. You’ll gain the combination of physical activities like kayaking or rock climbing with the benefit of being in nature, taking a break from the digital world and pushing your body back into a more natural one challenges you in the great outdoors. You might not be used to this challenge anymore, but it’s going to improve your mental and physical stamina and strength.

Each of these options relies on you to know what you want most for your fitness in 2024, so think hard because it will make a difference to your health.
