Hard-Hitting rock from Detroit…

What’s the title of your latest release, and what does it mean to you?
Hammy: Our latest release is called ‘Better Gone’. It’s about putting the past behind you, so to speak.

What was the hardest part about putting this release together, and why?
Nic: The hardest part is staying consistent and coming up with new, evolving ideas.

Who produced the release – what did they bring to it? If you produced it yourselves what do you enjoy most about producing your own material?
Colten: Hammy produced both the first and second albums. He added his own flavour but kept the raw individuality of each band member intact.

What do you want the listener to take away from listening to your music?
Chels: I just want them to have a good time listening to it.

How does a track normally come together? Can you tell us something about the process?
Nic: Usually, the band comes up with the main structure first. Then I write the lyrics over the top and add my style where it fits best.

What band/artists have influenced you the most since you started this project, and why?
Colten: I’ve been inspired by The Offspring since I began writing with the band, as well as Volbeat and Ghost.
Hammy: I’m heavily inspired by 90’s metal and bands like Blue Oyster Cult.

What countries would you like to tour? Are there any standout venues you’d like to play in?
Colten: My dream would be to play in a large music hall, like the Fillmore or Fox Theatre in Detroit.
Hammy: I want to tour any country with good food.

If you could pick one track for our readers to listen to in order to get a taste of your music, what would you pick, and why?
Nic and Colten: ‘Broken Compass’ or ‘Better Gone’.
Hammy and Chels: ‘Dissonant’.

What ambitions do you have for the band/your career?
Chels: When I graduate, I hope to invest more in the band with involvement and tours. I’m limited now because I’m in school, but that won’t be forever!

Finally, as you leave the stage, what are your parting words?
Colten: We love to thank our listeners for the support.
