As my family and I have ventured deeper into the world of air frying, our old compact air fryer started feeling inadequate for our creative culinary pursuits.
Inspired by air-fryer meal experts and armed with new recipes from cookbooks, things were getting serious! We found ourselves limited by our appliance’s capacity. It was clear we needed an upgrade to handle the increasing complexity and quantity of our meals. After researching and consulting with seasoned air-frying aficionados, we decided on the Daewoo 11L Space Saving Split Drawer Air Fryer. Its large capacity and advanced features seemed perfectly suited to elevate our kitchen game.

First Impressions
When the air fryer first arrived, its box was intimidatingly large. That sparked a brief moment of regret. Where are we going to put this? Is it a unit too big for our kitchen?
But these doubts quickly dissolved once we unpacked it. The air fryer, though substantial, was pretty sleek and nicely designed in a way that made it look less imposing once properly positioned next to our bread maker. And in that instance, we realised it wasn’t a monster at all. Our previous air-fryer was merely a mouse in comparison.
Its aesthetic adds a nice look to the kitchen setup, and the initial touch and feel of the materials used suggested that it was built to last.
Performance
The Daewoo air fryer boasts two spacious drawers. The 5L and 6L capacities are cleverly designed to stack vertically and save precious counter space. It offers several one-touch cooking presets, including air fry, grill, roast, and reheat, which can be easily selected via its touchscreen frontage. The temperature can be adjusted from 120 to 235°C, and the ‘Sync Finish’ feature particularly impressed us by synchronising cooking times for different foods, ensuring everything is ready simultaneously without any guesswork.
For our inaugural meal, we decided to start simple with sausages and chips to test the machine’s basic functionality. After placing the sausages in the top drawer set at 200°C for 18 minutes and the chips in the bottom drawer for 14 minutes at the same temperature, we activated the Sync Finish function.
“I was loving this machine!”
The air fryer began its cycle quietly, with only a gentle hum, a stark contrast to the loud operation of our previous model. We loved that, and it makes for a much nicer cooking experience.
After four minutes, the second drawer activated. Then, at the nine-minute mark, the device prompted us to turn the sausages, pausing the other drawer to keep everything in perfect sync. I was loving this machine!
A few minutes later, a similar alert reminded us to turn the chips. Once I’ve done that, we’re on the home straight, ready for food. (We’re also cooking eggs, because sausage, egg and Chips is British cuisine at its finest. And that’s fact.
18 minutes pass, and the machine is finished. And the reveal? Absolutely perfect. Sausages nicely browned, and chips golden. After serving, the taste test proved everything had been cooked to perfection. What a result. Now we can do something much more outlandish!

The Verdict
Well, we knew we needed a new air-fryer to give us more capacity and more options, and the Daewoo 11L Space Saving Split Drawer Air Fryer has proved to be the perfect make and model. The options, its flexibility, and quietness meant we’d benefited in every way possible by picking this.
It’s a wonderful machine to use. And yes, there are many air-fryers on the market; but I reckon I’d be hard-pressed to find a better unit than this one.
With the delightful-looking meals in the cookbooks that we’ve seen, we know that this one is going to help us achieve some of them.
On top of everything, a couple of added bonuses mean it’s very easy to clean and is 65% cheaper to run than conventional ovens. There is absolutely nothing not to love about this machine!
