Prior to his shows in Leeds and Sheffield, we asked for his Famous Last Words…

Last thing you did that made you feel good?
Just had a pint.

Last night on Earth… What’s your poison?
Cajun pickle juice bloody Mary. I had one in New Orleans at the Ernst Café. It made me feel alive, like I was being defibrillated. Was disgusting.

Last supper… What are you ordering?
There’s a Sichuan dish called 辣子鸡. It’s deep-fried chicken, re-fried in a wok with chillies and peppercorns. A woman called Fufu cooked it for me while I was teaching at Chinese summer camp in Chongqing. She was 27 and I was 19. She told me her favourite part of sex was extreme weather, and that when we were married we would honeymoon on an island in the Philippines where it rains 360 days of the year. I told her that my favourite part of sex was telling all my friends about it. I refused to let her peg me once and she doesn’t speak to me anymore. True story.

Last person you’d want to share a drink with?
I’d share a drink with anyone.

Finlay Christie – Q&A (1)

Last time you shed a tear and why?
The scene in The Office where they sing a goodbye song for Steve Carell’s character but they hadn’t told Steve Carell about it. I love goodbyes.

Last refuge… where would you go?
Raid Blenheim Palace with my piece of sh*t cousin.

Last the course… tips on loot, love & life?
Loot: Stainless steel ear cleaners. They’re shaped like little spoons. Way better than cotton buds. Love: Learn how to swallow your pride. Life: Work should be more fun than fun.

Last but one… random question: Tell us about something that interests you that nobody else knows about. Like Gaelic football… or porcelain.
I think elite-level street league skateboarding is beautiful. I could watch Luan Oliveira skate all day.

Your Famous Last Words?
Last words are for fools who haven’t said enough.

Finlay Christie plays Leeds Wardrobe 7th November & Sheffield Leadmill 12th November
