Influential Liverpool rockers, Echo & The Bunnymen have announced rescheduled dates for their 40th Anniversary tour after Covid forced the cancellation of previous dates.

All tickets already sold remain valid for the tour that will celebrate the band’s remarkable 40-year career that has spawned twenty Top 20 singles, including ‘The Killing Moon’, ‘The Back of Love’, ‘Never Stop’, ‘Seven Seas’ and ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’.

The Bunnymen’s first four seminal albums, Crocodiles, Heaven Up Here, Porcupine and Ocean Rain have been a major influence on acts such as Coldplay, The Killers and The Flaming Lips, whilst later albums such as Evergreen, What Are You Going To Do With Your Life and Siberia demonstrate a remarkably consistent body of outstanding work.

“A little bit happier”

Having always remained steadfastly revered in pop culture (their material was used on Netflix hit series Stranger Things) the band continue to go from strength to strength. They have announced the new tour dates shortly after the government confirmed when large music events will return.

Frontman Ian McCulloch said: “Well then, here are the rescheduled dates for our 2022 UK tour. I can’t wait to be out there with the band on all those stages in all those towns and cities, doing what I love most, playing our songs to our brilliant fans and, hopefully, making all our lives a little bit happier along the way.”

Two of the rescheduled Yorkshire dates are Sheffield City Hall on February 1st and Leeds O2 Academy on February 2nd, 2022.
