Black Grape are touring again! The band have just announced re-arranged dates to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of their debut album It’s Great When You’re Straight…. Yeah.

Originally released on 7th August 1995, the album not only went to number one but also went platinum. A three-CD deluxe edition was released in November 2016.

“Pop Voodoo!!”

The album, recorded at Rockfield Studios with producers Danny Saber, Stephen Lironi, Shaun Ryder and Gary Kurfirst (executive) produced top ten hit singles ‘Reverend Black Grape’ followed by ‘In the Name of the Father’ with ‘Kelly’s Heroes’ also reaching the top twenty.

And the tour see’s them visiting Yorkshire twice. They’ll come to the Picturedrome in Holmfirth on 10th September. And that’s followed by a gig in Leeds on 24th September at Warehouse. Founding members Shaun Ryder and Kermit Leveridge on vocals.

“I’m really looking forward to getting back out on the road with Black Grape” said Shaun Ryder. “And playing all the favourites from It’s Great When You’re Straight…Yeah’ with some Pop Voodoo!!’
