Refurbished Sheffield Landmark to be Declared Open for Business

A prominent city-centre landmark in the heart of Sheffield is to be declared open for business after being vacant for over a decade.

The former Deacon House will now be known as Wizu Workspace 32 Eyre Street. And it’s going to be officially opened by Lord Mayor, Tony Dowling at a launch event on February 27.

The event will see hundreds of creatives, entrepreneurs and business owners from the local community come together to network and celebrate the re-opening of a once run-down building. It’ll be open between 5 pm and 8pm.

“Beautifully designed”

Thanks to a recent multi-multi pound refurbishment, guests will be able to enjoy a tour of the beautifully designed, iconic workspace. They’ll see private office suites, co-working spaces, event space, and meeting rooms.

In addition, complimentary food, and drink will be provided. As well as a free co-working day to use at their leisure.

Commenting on the launch, Tom Almas, managing director said: “We are proud to have turned an unloved building into a beautiful workspace in Sheffield. It will allow businesses to thrive at their own pace without being tied into long-term contracts.”

Natasha Babar-Evans, COO, added: “We are delighted to be part of the regeneration of Sheffield. And to be a catalyst for local enterprise.

“We’ve invited a number of inspirational business leaders to speak at the event about why they have chosen Sheffield as a place to grow their business and tap into the local talent. “

Wizu Workspace has already developed workspaces in Leeds and Bradford. They specialise in high specification, uniquely designed private office suites, co-working spaces, meeting rooms and event space to uplift and inspire creativity.

The company has redeveloped 32 Eyre Street in a bid to help businesses of Sheffield. And their teams to feel happier, more productive and obtain a healthier work-life balance.
