Along with a new wake boarding line, the park will see a central new customer facility, housing a café along with brand-new changing rooms, opening in early 2021.

Following the lockdown roadmap guidance released from the Government, the North Yorkshire Water Park will be able to reopen bookings for groups of up to five or one households for instructor-based activities.

Doors will open to the North Yorkshire Water Park reopens 29th March 2021.

“A very welcome return”

With outdoor sporting activities allowed, visitors will be able to enjoy a range of activities. Fishing, kayaking, pedalos, and paddleboarding is available. As is leisure walking, and one-to-one wake boarding sessions upon completion of the new line.

Because of the guidance, changing rooms have to remain closed. But, if temperatures allow, open water swimming will also be open to the public.

As well as the new line, kickers and rails will also be added to provide a full range of wake boarding facilities. Experienced instructors will also be on hand to help water sports lovers hone their new skills.

Gareth Davies is the General Manager at North Yorkshire Water Park. He said: “Like many places, we can’t wait to reopen our doors and welcome visitors back to the park. We endeavour to take all measures for the customer experience to be as safe as it can be.

“Outdoor pursuits and staycations will be making a very welcome return this summer, giving Yorkshire locals and UK residents a breath of fresh air and a bit of well-needed escape from the day-to-day.”

The park is located just east of Wykeham on the A170. The destination threw the gates open to visitors in 2017 with its AquaPark; dedicated to providing families, holidaymakers and water sports enthusiasts alike with a day out, or activity session, to remember.

Throughout the summer, visitors can also book the onsite camping facilities to enjoy an extended stay from 12th April.
