Magic Rock Brewing Hits Global Top Brewers List For Eighth Time
Huddersfield-based craft brewer Magic Rock has once again proved it produces some of the best beer in the world. It’s been named by RateBeer in its famous Top 100 Best Brewers in the World list; alongside only eight other UK craft breweries.
This 2020 win for Magic Rock marks the eighth time in the last nine years they’ve earned the top brewers accolade. They’ve beaten UK brewing giants BrewDog and Beavertown, which have made the cut seven and three times, respectively.
Magic Rock began making its world-class beers back in 2011. They began by blending Yorkshire brewing traditions with those from the US craft scene. After receiving a phenomenal response for its beer, the brewery was voted second best new brewery in the world by RateBeer in 2012. Since then, they’ve consistently ranked Magic Rock in its top 100. They also awarded the brewer the Best Brewer in West Yorkshire award in 2020. They also followed that up with a double of Best Brewer Tap West Yorkshire, and also in England.
The accolades are among the most prized in the craft beer industry. They are tabulated from millions of reviews submitted by RateBeer’s global community.
Christa Sandquist, Head of Production and Operations at Magic Rock, commented: “We are incredibly proud to represent the UK along with eight other incredible breweries in the world’s top 100. To be included for the eighth time in the past nine years is an absolute testament to our team’s hard work. Especially over the last year which has been challenging for everyone in the brewing industry. We couldn’t do this without their passion, knowledge and dedication.”
