BRIT Award winner James Morrison is to join chart-toppers The Script for their massive outdoor show on the Yorkshire coast this summer.

James has just completed a hugely successful UK Tour. And he’ll be The Script’s very special guest when the Irish rock trio take to the stage at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Thursday July 14.

James’ recent Greatest Hits Tour was a life-affirming celebration of a remarkable career. He’s produced unforgettable hits like ‘You Give Me Something’ and ‘Wonderful World’.

The Script are currently on the road with their own Greatest Hits Tour. And it follows the release of their career-spanning hits collection Tales From The Script which went straight to Number 1 on the Official UK Album Chart – the band’s sixth chart-topping album.

Those celebrations are continuing long into 2022. And their date at Scarborough OAT with James Morrison is a must-see.

The Script

“A very special guest”

Peter Taylor is Scarborough OAT’s venue programmer. He told us said: “We are delighted that not only will we welcome The Script back here as headliners but we can now add the brilliant James Morrison to the bill as a very special guest. This is going to be an incredible night no fan will want to miss.”

The Scarborough OAT show coincides with the 16th anniversary of the release of James’s debut album Undiscovered. Featuring his breakthrough smash hits ‘You Give Me Something’ and ‘Wonderful World’, the album became one of the biggest of the decade. The record reached a fantastic 5x Platinum status in recognition of 1.5 million domestic sales. The following year he won the BRIT Award for British Male Solo Artist. And that’s an accolade he’s been nominated for on another two occasions.

Morrison is also a songwriter for other artists. Demi Lovato, Olly Murs and Kelly Clarkson have all had big hits written by Morrison.
