Once the lead singer in The Inspiral Carpets, before embarking on a successful solo career, it was Tom Hingley’s voice and lyrics that helped shape one of the biggest cult acts of the nineties.

With a constant touring regime, Tom is finally back in Leeds, at the Belgrave Music Hall on Friday 3rd August, supported by Adore//Repel, a 4 piece post-rock band from Wakefield, with a unique and melodic sound, who will be providing ferocious bursts of energy to warm up the evening.

“Dynamic and energetic”

Formed in 2016, Tom Hingley and The Kar-pets have since played numerous headline shows throughout the UK and Europe, as well as prestigious slots at the Shine on Weekender Festival and the Embrace Secret Festival. The band play all the Inspiral Carpets’ greatest hits live, often including the whole of the Revenge of The Goldfish album, alongside a healthy selection of more obscure tracks and fan favourites.

The Tom Hingley & The Kar-pets live experience is raw, dynamic and energetic, with the band always playing like their very lives depend upon it.

As one of the most iconic vocalists of a memorable era, Tom Hingley still remains as passionate and enthusiastic as ever. The show in Leeds promises to be a celebratory, euphoric and quite possibly messy affair, but certainly a night to remember.
