Britpop Revisited in Four City Fest

by Victoria Holdsworth

The Star Shaped festival is back. Following on from the success of its London debut, the all-day marathon Britpop event sees a star studded line-up and classic DJs spreading across four cities this summer.

Star Shaped Festival Returns for 2019 posterHaving become known by fans and artists of the Britpop era as the must-see event of last year, the festival’s line-up reflects and honours this famous period in music. 2019 is already the best line-up so far.

“Not your standard festival”

With events in Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham and London, Britpop fans can rejoice as Liverpool legends Cast and Space join Geneva (who are reforming especially for Star Shaped), Salad, Mark Morriss of The Bluetones, and York’s very own, Chris Helme from The Seahorses are set tp play in 2019. There are more artists to be confirmed, including the addition of a legendary Britpop band playing a classic album in full.

This is not your standard festival. There are no tents, no overpriced food, no need to fund a whole weekend’s worth of drinking, no being miles away from the bands watching them on a little screen and having the sound blown around – just great venues, great bands, a great atmosphere, and great DJs.

All tickets include entry to an exclusive after-show party, to keep the celebrations going, plus, there will be exhibitions, visuals and lots of other surprises.
