Josie Long Q&A
‘Famous Last Words’ with comedian Josie Long…
Three-time Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee and cult optimist Josie Long is back on the road with her most personal show to date about love, family and being as outdoorsy as a bear.
In her seventh nationwide tour and with a new niece in the picture, Josie reflects on her own childhood and the resilience of an older sister. She had never really truly known heartbreak until now, and she is using this experience to change her ways; to be more patient, to work out what she really wants and to become a better person. This is truly her most heartfelt, honest and revealing material, but don’t fret – Nigel Farage and Nick Clegg still get a mention…
Here are her ‘Famous Last Words’…
Last thing you did that made you feel good?
I went for a run at the weekend and I feel so smug about that fact!
Last thing you’d want to be doing right now?
Answering questions about “women in comedy” – so thank you so much for not asking that!
“I don’t drink pints and I hate fascists”
Last supper… What are you ordering?
I think my dream would be a massive buffet and I would have a little taste of everything.
Last person you’d want to share a drink with?
Nigel Farage. I don’t drink pints and I hate fascists.
Last time you shed a tear and why?
I was listening to a radio show about reunited couples and it was so beautiful and loving that I couldn’t help myself.
Last refuge… where would you go?
Back to bed. Electric blanket on. No problems in life.
Last the course… tips on loot, love & life?
Oh gosh. Money isn’t an end in itself – it’s creepy to want to be wealthy. Go outdoors more often, it’ll make you feel healthier and happier. Try to trust your guts in your decision making!
Last but one… random question: Tell us about something that interests you that nobody else knows about. Like Gaelic football… or porcelain.
I like learning maths. It’s interesting and hard!
