Famous Last Words with Comedian Eleanor Conway

Some people talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. One person that puts her money where her mouth is, is comedian Eleanor Conway. Her debut stand up show ‘Walk of Shame’, which premiered at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival to critical acclaim, is set to embark on a nationwide UK tour.

The ferocious clubber and party girl has always been a woman of extremes. She partied around the world as a music journalist, ran off to Asia to work for the triads, made hardcore porn and Tinder’d her way through most of London… Now sober from alcohol and substances she’s failing to find moderation and meaning. ‘Walk of Shame’ is about sex, sobriety, Sambuca and the modern addict that lies within us all.

We caught up with her to find out her ‘Famous Last Words’…

Last thing you did that made you feel good?
Probably cleaning my flat. Nothing feels as good as letting messiness build up and then having a good old clean.

Last thing you’d want to be doing right now?
Unblocking the toilet after someone else has been. I can imagine that’s what parenthood is like.

Last night on Earth… What’s your poison?
A room filled with folk I love.

Eleanor Conway interview Q&A

“Count on what you have and don’t be a dick”

Last supper… What are you ordering?
A big fat burger with melted cheese and bacon and sexy fries… I’m on a diet at the moment, can you tell?

Last person you’d want to share a drink with?
That cleaning Kim from CBB…

Last time you shed a tear and why?
Reading my Facebook timeline at the moment.

Last refuge… where would you go?

Last the course… tips on loot, love & life?
Count on what you have and don’t be a dick.

Last but one … random question: Tell us about something that interests you that nobody else knows about. Like Gaelic football… or porcelain.
Space. I like the idea that our world is in this sea of other worlds and all the existential questions that arise out of it. It’s too big for me.

Your Famous Last Words?
Was that it?
