Daniel Sloss Q&A
‘Famous Last Words’ with comedian Daniel Sloss…
Last thing you did that made you feel good?
I’m slowly learning how to cook. And before two weeks ago I struggled with beans on toast, but last week I made a nice chicken stew that didn’t kill anyone. So that’s an achievement.
Last thing you’d want to be doing right now?
Watching Hollyoaks. I hate Hollyoaks. Every time I hear the theme tune the first thing I do is change the channel. It’s more successful than an alarm clock for getting me out of bed.
Last night on Earth … What’s your poison?
All my mates, lots of booze and an Xbox. Might as well die the way I lived. Last supper… What are you ordering? I love my mum’s stovies. They’re not like real stovies. It’s pretty much just chunks of steak, with chunks of potatoes, in a gravy sauce – and it’s amazing. Whenever she makes it, I always have a cold bowl of it when I come back from a gig.
“I am made of 100% man”
Last person you’d want to share a drink with?
Depends what this questions means. If it means last person as in “Oh f*** no, I’d rather stick my bits in a blender.” then it’d probably be Justin Bieber. I’d rather not get arrested for plying an underage girl with alcohol. But if it means who would I like to spend my last drink with, it’d probably be my best mate, Lil Ally.
Last time you shed a tear and why?
I don’t cry. I am made of 100% man.
Last refuge … where would you go?
Home. My bed’s comfy and the food is free.
Last the course … tips on loot, love & life?
“F*** it” – this is the phrase everyone should live by. Not “F*** it” as in, “Oh I can’t be bothered, I’ll give that a miss.” I mean like “F*** it, what’s the worst that could happen.” Whatever opportunities in life you are given, approach it with this attitude, give it your all, but f*** it. If it works and it happens: brilliant, amazing, well done you. But if it doesn’t: F*** it. There will always be other chances.
Last but one … random question: Tell us about something that interests you that nobody else knows about. Like Gaelic football … or porcelain.
History. I’m obsessed with the Greeks and the Romans. I find them fascinating and amazing.
