You Don’t Get Enough Protein

Much like iron, protein plays a huge part in the production and maintenance of our hair. In fact, the hair follicles themselves are made up of a surprising amount of protein, so a lack of this within the body can result in thinning, or easily breakable hair. Protein deficiency is rare but may be worth investigating, particularly if you have been cleared of iron deficiency or any genetic causes.

You May Have Psoriasis Or Eczema

An itchy scalp or the presence of dandruff could mean that you suffer from eczema or psoriasis. Often, this is easily diagnosable through dry or irritated patches on the scalp and can be treated by several different medicated shampoos and conditioners.
