The Broadway, Bradford Reveals Key Summer Fashion Trends
Summer is here, and what’s even better is that this season has brought more beachwear trends than ever seen before!
However, this summer’s key print will channel the tropics as garments with hibiscus flowers and palm leaves flood the highstreets. This tropical trend has done the rounds summer after summer and is always a staple when jetting off on holiday.
Hibiscus prints can often be quite daunting in the fashion stakes but in spite of its bold, vibrant nature, this go to motif is more wearable than you’d think. From surfer-style sports prints to a delicate pastel, there’s a floral for everyone. With retailers like Next, Debenhams and Select offering wall to wall printed options, here are some summer looks to help you nail the trend.
“Update your wardrobe”
Whether teamed with other plain items or worn in clashing prints and colours, you can be assured to put your best fashion foot forward this season. Designers like Gucci, Carolina Herrera and Louis Vuitton pioneered the trend with models donning prints in shades of red, yellow and purple. We have also seen a host of celebrities, including Taylor Swift, Priyanka Chopra and Jennifer Lopez all embrace a hibiscus print this year.
For those feeling a little less brave, stores including Accessorize, New Look and River Island have accessories in all varieties of hibiscus, allowing you to update your wardrobe without diving into the trend head first.
Likewise, shopping for swimwear can be notoriously tricky, with a plethora of different styles for different destinations, occasions and activities. Wander around The Broadway and you’ll see the shops are packed with new season styles, from neon swimsuits to more revealing two pieces.
Other key trends hitting The Broadway this summer include statement prints such as animal or monochrome, ruffles and crochet.
