Best British Cosmetics vs The Rest of the World

by Julia Paddon

On a Sunday evening, I am watching Fashion Police. I LOVE IT. It’s on E! (you know, the channel where every other show is about a Kardashian) and is immaculately/hilariously/mischievously hosted by Joan Rivers.

It’s about everything I love but can’t afford. Fashion with a capital F. High Fashion with a sense of humour, made even more irresistible by the ageless, tireless Mme. Rivers. Every now and then Joan dresses up as Suri Cruise and makes ‘a futile bid for freedom’ (Google it) and it is home to hard hitting features such as ‘Bitch Stole My Look’ (celebs wearing the same dress), ‘Starlet or Streetwalker’ (celebs wearing slutty clothes) and ‘Guess Me from Behind’ (yes, you’ve guessed it!).

Their ‘GB vs the Rest of the World’ style feature was really just an excuse to celebrate the Fashion brilliance of the ‘Kates’ (Princess and Moss) and Posh – but it got me thinking.
