A Q&A With Jimmy Sax

Electronic sax star from France…

What’s the title of your latest release, and what does it mean to you?
My latest release is called ‘A Million Miles’ it’s a collaboration with Steve Edwards. The track has been produced by The Avener. It’s a privilege to have worked with such talented people! The tracks mean a lot to me. It’s a Pop electro track great for a summer feeling.

What was the hardest part about putting this release together, and why?
The hardest part was to find a moment to coordinate all the agenda! Steve, The Avener and I started this track over a year ago!

Who produced the release – what did they bring to it?
As I mentioned before the track has been produced by The Avener. For me it was not possible to see another producer for this track, his work is so connected to that kind of track that I had to beg him to find a moment to do this! And he brings such a fantastic French touch to it!

What do you want the listener to take away from listening to your music?
A moment of freedom! Feeling that everything is possible and that all is going to be ok.

How does a track normally come together? Can you tell us something about the process?
The process is always different, it depends on whether I am working alone or with a producer, or a composer etc. There is no recipe!

A Q&A With Jimmy SaxWhat band/artists have influenced you the most since you started this project, and why?
There is not really one artist or band, I listen to too much music to give you just one sorry 🙂 From Electro music like Sebastien Leger, The Avener or Worakls to pop like Coldplay or Lenny Kravitz The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd etc…

What countries would you like to tour? Are there any standout venues you’d like to play in?
Sure, the US and UK are definitely at the top of the lists!

If you could pick one track for our readers to listen to in order to get a taste of your music, what would you pick, and why?
I would suggest to them my track ‘Time’, it’s a good start to see the palette of my music.

What ambitions do you have for the band/your career?
There is no limit, we often say the sky is the limit 🙂

Finally, as you leave the stage, what are your parting words?
Thank you so much, I don’t take anything for granted. I love you all take care of yourself and your loved ones
