Riverford Harrogate Enjoy Birthday Celebration as they Branch Out to Leeds & Wakefield

Self-confessed veg nerds, Andrew and Susan Wilson, are enjoying a double celebration. Not only are the couple celebrating a decade of delivering the green stuff to Yorkshire, but they have also just expanded and taken over their neighbouring area.

Andrew and Susan took over the organic fruit and veg delivery business in 2007, with just 50 deliveries. Now, 10-years on, they have delivered over a staggering 250,000 boxes of organic goodness.

They are so committed to bringing Riverford to Yorkshire, they’ve also just taken over the Leeds and Wakefield areas.

Andrew says: “Due to the resounding success of the Harrogate, Halifax and Bradford areas, when this opportunity came up, we jumped at it.”

“Firmly believe fresh and organic is best”

Expanding into the Leeds and Wakefield areas will provide the couple with a 30% increase in business growth and really strengthen the brand in these areas. With just five members of staff, delivering around 750-800 boxes a week, the couple also attends around 30-50 local food shows each year.

Andrew and Susan were first drawn to Riverford as they grew up in a family of ‘growing their own’ and knew that the poor quality supermarket veggies and fruit and didn’t hit the mark for their growing family. A decade later they are delivering exceptional customer service and firmly believe that fresh and organic is best.

Andrew says: “Riverford ticked all the boxes for us; organic, great quality fresh produce, minimal packaging and great customer service. We thought, we can do that! So we did. A decade on and we haven’t looked back, in fact we’ve just taken on our neighbouring area.”

So if you see them in the van – give them a wave!
